SAPEM is preparing a new industrial plant in Jorf Lasfar.

The SAPEM group is preparing to enhance its industrial capacity in Morocco with the construction of a new facility in Jorf Lasfar. The project involves establishing an industrial site covering an area of 11,500 m², specifically dedicated to surface treatment and anti-corrosion protection activities.

This new facility aims to increase the group’s capacities while modernizing its industrial processes. The unit is projected to have a capacity between 100 and 120 tons per day, amounting to over 3,000 tons per month.

A Capacity of Over 3,000 Tons Per Month

The future factory will incorporate several technologies for the treatment of metallic surfaces, including blasting and surface treatment equipment.

The goal is to enhance industrial performance on multiple levels by combining increased production capacity with better quality control of treatments. The project also aims to improve working conditions through a facility designed around processes and equipment that are more suited to current industrial standards.

With this new unit, SAPEM intends to strengthen its positioning in activities related to the preparation, treatment, and protection of industrial surfaces.

A Portion of Teflon Coating Moving from Mohammedia

The project also includes a reorganization of the group’s existing activities. Part of the teflon coating operations currently conducted in Mohammedia is set to be transferred to the new site in Jorf Lasfar.

This shift will allow the consolidation of certain industrial operations onto a platform that features an environment particularly suited for heavy industries and goods exchange.

Additionally, the project incorporates safety and environmental considerations, two aspects that have become central to the evolution of industrial facilities and surface treatment processes.

Jorf Lasfar Confirms Its Industrial Attractiveness

The choice of Jorf Lasfar aligns with the ongoing development of this significant industrial and port platform. Its proximity to port infrastructures and to several major clients provides a competitive edge for companies specializing in industrial services.

The establishment of SAPEM thus strengthens an ecosystem in which transformation, maintenance, and industrial services can benefit from the close proximity of large production units and logistical infrastructures.

Surface Treatment at the Core of Multiple Industries

Surface treatment plays a critical role in many industrial sectors. It helps protect metal equipment from corrosion and extends their lifespan.

Metallurgy, construction, industrial equipment, and various manufacturing activities are among the sectors likely to utilize such services.

The development of a new capacity in Jorf Lasfar responds to industrial needs that exceed just the scope of SAPEM. It also illustrates the growing trend of positioning certain industrial service activities closer to major production platforms and logistics.

With an area of 11,500 m² and a capacity reaching up to 120 tons per day, the future facility is expected to reinforce SAPEM’s industrial framework while consolidating the status of Jorf Lasfar within the Moroccan industrial ecosystem.
