Saturday Weather: Relative Warmth and Local Instability in Some Regions
The General Directorate of Meteorology forecasts relatively warm weather for Saturday, May 2, especially in the plains located west of the Atlas Mountains, the eastern region, the southeast, and the extreme south of the country. This increase in temperatures is attributed to the influence of warm air masses over these areas.
Unstable Clouds and Possible Thunderstorms
The sky will be partly cloudy over the Middle Atlas, the Mediterranean coast, and the northern part of the eastern region. Sporadic showers might occur, sometimes accompanied by thunderstorms, indicating some atmospheric instability.
Morning and Night Mists and Low Clouds
Low cloud formations and patches of mist are expected during the morning and night over the northern Atlantic plains, as well as in the northwest of the Saharan provinces, potentially reducing visibility at times.
Moderate to Strong Winds
Moderate to strong gusts of wind will affect the central coasts, the eastern region, and the Saharan provinces, enhancing the sense of variability in weather conditions.
Temperatures: Contrasts Between Night and Day
Minimum temperatures will range from 5 to 10°C in the Atlas and Rif mountains, from 10 to 12°C in the Gharb region and the northern and central Atlantic plains, and from 19 to 21°C in the southeast and extreme south. In other areas, temperatures will vary between 13 and 18°C.
During the day, temperatures are expected to rise in the eastern region, the southeast, and the Saharan provinces, while a slight decrease is anticipated in the rest of the country.
Sea Conditions
The sea will be calm to lightly disturbed in the Mediterranean and the Strait, and slightly disturbed to rough along the Atlantic coastline.
Overall, Saturday will exhibit contrasting weather conditions, blending relative warmth with localized episodes of instability.
