TGCC Wins Reconstruction Contract for Tessema Stadium in Casablanca for 1.8 Billion Dirhams
The TGCC group has secured the contract for the reconstruction of Tessema Stadium in Casablanca, amounting to approximately 1.8 billion dirhams. This win comes after a competitive tender process against SGTM.
The company presented a bid of 1.824 billion dirhams, slightly lower than SGTM’s bid of 1.883 billion dirhams. This contract follows the completion of the first phase of the project, which involved demolition, earthworks, and leveling tasks carried out by SNTRO for a budget of 36.4 million dirhams.
The new phase will encompass the full reconstruction of the stadium, which will include concrete and metal structures, roofing, waterproofing, both interior and exterior finishes, and technical installations.
Located on a 6.62-hectare site in the Ben M’Sik – Sidi Othmane district, the future stadium is set to have a seating capacity of 30,000, replacing the outdated previous venue.
This project is part of Morocco’s extensive program to modernize its sports infrastructure in anticipation of major international competitions.
