Wednesday Weather: Relatively Cold Temperatures, Scattered Rain, and Occasionally Strong Winds
Weather Forecast Overview
The General Directorate of Meteorology expects relatively cold weather conditions this Wednesday, particularly in the Atlas mountains, accompanied by varying precipitation across regions.
Rain and Thunderstorms in the North
Moderate rain or thunderstorms are anticipated in the Rif and western Mediterranean areas. Light and scattered precipitation is also expected in the Atlas mountains and their western slopes, the Gharb region, northern Oriental, and the northern provinces of the South.
Strong Winds and Local Sandstorms
Significant wind gusts are predicted in the Atlas, Oriental, southeastern regions, and the Saharan provinces, with the possibility of light local sandstorms.
Temperature Fluctuations Across Regions
Minimum temperatures will range from 0 to 4°C in the Atlas mountains, between 16 and 21°C in the southern provinces and southeast, and from 6 to 12°C in other areas. During the day, temperatures will experience a slight increase in the southern regions of Oriental and southeast, while a decrease will be observed elsewhere in the country.
Sea Conditions
The sea will remain calm to slightly choppy in the Mediterranean, with mild to choppy conditions in the Strait, and strong to very strong on the Atlantic coasts, becoming locally intense between Agadir and Larache.
