Morocco’s Role in Unifying Shared Interests Amidst Economic and Social Challenges
Rabat – Morocco, buoyed by its ambitious initiatives and actions, is striving to unify visions around common interests and shared values to tackle economic and social challenges. This assertion was made on Saturday in Rabat by Youssef Amrani, Morocco’s Ambassador to the United States.
A Recognized Partner on the International Stage
In a statement to the press during the 14th edition of the annual international conference “The Atlantic Dialogues,” organized by the Policy Center for the New South, Mr. Amrani emphasized that Morocco is now recognized as a key partner, thanks to a proactive foreign policy, successful experiences, and innovative initiatives.
South-South Cooperation at the Heart of Discussions
Reflecting on the discussions held during the conference, the diplomat noted that the political leaders and experts present unanimously highlighted Morocco’s leading role in South-South cooperation. He particularly mentioned His Majesty King Mohammed VI’s initiative aimed at facilitating access for Sahel countries to the Atlantic Ocean, which has been praised for its strategic ambition and continental scope.
Structural Reforms as a Catalyst for Credibility
According to Mr. Amrani, the strength of the Moroccan model is rooted in the depth of the reforms undertaken in both economic and social spheres. He asserted that this trajectory bolsters the Kingdom’s credibility and its ability to forge sustainable and balanced partnerships.
Sporting Events as Catalysts for Progress
The ambassador also stressed the significance of upcoming international sporting events, viewing them as an opportunity to highlight Morocco’s role in promoting positive, unifying, and inclusive action, particularly on an African scale.
The Central Role of the Private Sector
Lastly, Mr. Amrani pointed out that Morocco’s presence in Africa is not limited to government frameworks, shedding light on the pivotal contribution of the Moroccan private sector in strengthening trade, economic, and financial relations across the continent.
