2026 World Cup: Royal Air Maroc Launches Special Flights to Monterrey to Support the Atlas Lions
Following the qualification of the Atlas Lions for the knockout stages of the 2026 World Cup, Royal Air Maroc (RAM) has announced an exceptional airlift to Monterrey, Mexico, where the national team will play its next match on June 29, 2026.
The national airline aims to facilitate travel for Moroccan supporters eager to cheer on their team during this crucial encounter.
Twelve Special Flights Scheduled Between Casablanca and Monterrey
Royal Air Maroc plans to operate twelve additional flights specifically for this sporting event. Six outbound flights will operate from Casablanca to Monterrey from Saturday to Monday, while six return flights will be scheduled from Tuesday to the following Thursday.
Through this exceptional operation, more than 3,000 seats will be available for Moroccan supporters.
A Historic First for Royal Air Maroc in Mexico
This initiative marks a significant milestone for the Moroccan airline, which will serve Monterrey for the first time, extending its reach into the Mexican market.
The flights will be operated non-stop using state-of-the-art long-haul aircraft, providing travelers with optimal comfort and safety conditions. The estimated flight duration is approximately 11 hours each way.
Special Fare for Supporters
To make this trip accessible to as many fans as possible, Royal Air Maroc has set a unique fare of 10,000 dirhams for round-trip tickets in economy class.
This special offer applies to non-changeable and non-refundable tickets, designed specifically for supporters wishing to accompany the national team to Mexico.
Hamid Addou Praises the Atlas Lions’ Qualification
On this occasion, Hamid Addou, the CEO of Royal Air Maroc, congratulated the national team on its remarkable journey.
He emphasized that the airline, as the official carrier for the Moroccan team, mobilized immediately to establish this exceptional operation within a short timeframe, mirroring the initiatives organized during the early rounds of the tournament.
Entry Requirements for Mexico
Travelers wishing to take advantage of these flights must comply with the entry requirements for Mexico.
Authorities require travelers to present a valid Mexican visa. However, holders of a valid visa issued by the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, or a Schengen area country may also be allowed entry into Mexico.
