Achraf Hakimi Wins the Golden Lion Award for the Second Consecutive Year

Moroccan international Achraf Hakimi has won the 2025 Lion d’Or award following a vote organized by the newspaper “Al Mountakhab,” which included participation from 57 media outlets.

This marks the second consecutive victory for the right-back of the Atlas Lions, who is also a strong contender for the African Ballon d’Or.

Hakimi is the second Moroccan player to receive this honor, following his compatriot Yassine Bounou in the 15th edition.

The PSG player surpassed Egyptian star Mohamed Salah and Guinean international Serhou Guirassy in the final rankings.
