Africa Investment Forum 2025: Official Launch in Rabat

The Africa Investment Forum 2025 (AIF) officially kicked off this Wednesday in Rabat, under the theme “Bridging the Gaps: Mobilizing Private Capital to Unlock Africa’s Full Potential.” Held under the High Patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, this strategic event brings together economic decision-makers, international investors, and representatives from African governments.

The opening session was attended by key figures including Nadia Fettah, Minister of Economy and Finance, Sidi Ould Tah, President of the African Development Bank (ADB), as well as numerous African ministers and private sector leaders.

The AIF 2025 runs until November 28 and features “Market Days,” crucial moments focused on finalizing major transactions. This platform brings together project promoters, investment funds, development finance institutions, insurance companies, export credit agencies, and senior public officials. The goal: to advance structural projects in priority sectors such as energy, infrastructure, digital technology, agri-food, and creative industries.

The program also includes a ministerial dialogue on accelerating private investment, high-level thematic panels, and several parallel events addressing contemporary challenges: innovative financing, climate risks, sustainable debt management, digital transformation, value chains, regional integration, and industrialization.

Led by the ADB along with six founding partners—Afreximbank, Africa50, the African Finance Corporation, the Arab Bank for Economic Development in Africa, the Southern Africa Development Bank, and the Trade and Development Bank—the AIF operates as an integrated continental platform designed to streamline and expedite the financing processes for high-impact projects.

With this 2025 edition, the Africa Investment Forum reaffirms its central role in mobilizing private capital for the sustainable economic transformation of the continent.
