Support Program for Young Researchers for the Publication of University Theses Edition 2024-2025

As part of its efforts to promote scientific research on the Maghreb and the Muslim West in general (Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Libya, Mauritania, Andalusian studies, and Arab-Muslim culture in West Africa, etc.), the King Abdul-Aziz Al Saud Foundation for Islamic Studies and Humanities in Casablanca announces the launch of the 2024-2025 edition of its program “Support for Young Researchers”. The aim of this program is to encourage young researchers to publish their academic work and contribute to the enrichment of knowledge about this region and its historical, cultural, and geographical extensions.
Application Requirements:
- Required Documents:
- Applicants must send their works to the Foundation accompanied by:
- A cover letter.
- A curriculum vitae (CV).
- A legalized copy of the diploma or the certificate of defense and acceptance of the academic work.

- Research Criteria:
- The research topic must concern, either partially or wholly, the present and/or past of the Maghreb region.
- Only works conducted in the field of humanities and social sciences (religion, philosophy, psychology, education sciences, sociology, anthropology, art history, linguistics and literature, economics, history, geography, political science, etc.) will be accepted.
- The work must be a doctoral thesis or an equivalent title.
- The work must have been defended within the last three years (2022-2024).
- The work must not have been previously published.
- Application Period:
- Applications are open from December 1, 2024 to May 31, 2025.

Research Selection Procedures:
- Preliminary Selection:
- A scientific selection committee will carry out an initial selection from the submitted works.
- Scientific Evaluation:
- The selected works will then be subjected to scientific evaluation by researchers specialized in the relevant fields.
- Announcement of Winners:
- The names of the winning researchers and the titles of their works will be announced by September 2025.
- Awards:
- Winners will receive a monetary award in addition to 50 copies of their published works in the “Abhath” collection published by the Foundation as royalties.
