Barid Maroc Becomes the First National Entity Accredited for Qualified Timestamping Services
Barid Maroc is strengthening its position as a leader in the digital trust sector after receiving accreditation from the General Directorate for the Security of Information Systems (DGSSI) for its qualified electronic timestamp service, in accordance with the provisions of Law No. 43-20 related to trust services for electronic transactions.
A Confirmed National Reference
This accreditation follows the one obtained in January 2025 for the “Barid eSign” service, which allows Barid Maroc to issue electronic signature and seal certificates. This new achievement reaffirms the group’s position as a reference player in the national digital ecosystem, providing both the public and private sectors with a reliable, secure service that holds full legal value.
Advanced Technology for Legal Security
The qualified timestamp service is based on advanced encryption techniques, which certify the existence of a document at a specific date and time while ensuring its integrity. This technology enhances the legal security of electronic exchanges and increases the reliability of digital transactions.
Maintaining Leadership in Digital Trust
A leader in this field since the launch of “Barid eSign” in 2011, Barid Maroc continues to enrich its range of digital solutions. The integration of the qualified timestamp service serves as a strategic lever to support digitalization and effectively accompanies the digital transformation of administrations and businesses in Morocco.
Future Perspectives
This accreditation underscores Barid Maroc’s commitment to developing reliable digital services and enhancing trust in electronic transactions, thus contributing to the growth of the digital economy and offering citizens and economic stakeholders secure, high-value digital solutions.
