Casablanca Stock Exchange Opens on a Negative Note

The Casablanca Stock Exchange kicked off this Thursday’s session with a decline. Its main index, MASI, fell by 0.32%, settling at 18,639.62 points.

Major Indices Decline

The MASI.20 index, which tracks the performance of the 20 largest market capitalizations, decreased by 0.46%, reaching 1,361.2 points. Meanwhile, the MASI.ESG index, comprised of companies with top ratings in environmental, social, and governance criteria, slipped by 0.28% to 1,324.64 points.

Small and Medium Capitalizations Hold Steady

In contrast, the MASI Mid and Small Cap index rose by 0.27%, reaching 1,930.52 points, reflecting a positive trend among medium and small-sized stocks.

Persistent Cautious Trend

This opening follows a previous session that also saw a slight decline, with the MASI closing on Wednesday down by 0.08%, indicating a cautious atmosphere in the market.
