Marrakech: Celebrating the Investments of Moroccans Worldwide at the MDM Entrepreneur Awards
The investments made by Moroccans around the world in the Kingdom were celebrated last Friday in Marrakech during the presentation ceremony for the Moroccan Entrepreneurs of the World Awards (EMDM).
Held to mark the closing of the second edition of the Economic Forum for Moroccans of the World, this event recognizes businesses established in Morocco by members of the diaspora as well as the branches of international companies operating within the national territory.
This initiative aims to highlight the entrepreneurial journeys of Moroccans living abroad and to shine a light on their contributions to the economic development of the Kingdom.
Three Awards to Promote Investment and Innovation
The awards are presented across three main categories: the Innovation Award, the Investment Award, and the Economic Impact Award.
These distinctions recognize companies that have introduced significant innovations, contributed to productive investment, fostered job creation, or participated in territorial development and enhancing Morocco’s economic presence internationally.
The aim is also to strengthen economic ties between Morocco and its diaspora while encouraging an innovative and forward-looking entrepreneurial ecosystem.
Kamal Bouzir Recognized for His Commitment to Investment
The Investment Award was given to Kamal Bouzir, co-founder and CEO of a company specializing in human capital consulting, digital transition, and outsourcing services.
The organizers praised his strategic vision, dynamism, and ongoing commitment to promoting investment and enhancing Morocco’s economic standing.
Mohamed Bouzidi Awarded for Technological Innovation
The Innovation Award was presented to Mohamed Bouzidi, CEO and co-founder of a consulting firm specializing in new technologies and digital transformation.
According to the organizers, his company embodies boldness and the ability to transform technological challenges into opportunities for growth and development.
Hafsa Chakibi Honored for Her Economic Impact on Local Development
The Economic Impact Award was awarded to Hafsa Chakibi, a doctor-engineer in physical chemistry and founder of a company specializing in the distillation of aromatic flowers in Kelâat M’Gouna.
Her company was recognized for its contribution to local economic development through a sustainable vision and the valorization of territorial resources.
The Economic Forum for MDM: A Strategic Platform for the Diaspora
Under the theme “Investment of MDM and Innovation”, the second edition of the Economic Forum for Moroccans of the World serves as a platform dedicated to valorizing the economic, human, and strategic potential of the Moroccan diaspora.
The event brings together investors, entrepreneurs, institutional leaders, and experts to discuss issues related to productive investment, innovation, and strengthening economic ties between Morocco and its citizens abroad.
