Rachid Talbi El Alami Represents King Mohammed VI at the Inauguration of the President of Costa Rica.

The President of the House of Representatives, Rachid Talbi El Alami, represented His Majesty King Mohammed VI at the inauguration ceremony of the new President of the Republic of Costa Rica, Laura Fernandez, which took place on Friday in San José.

This official participation highlights Morocco’s commitment to strengthening its diplomatic relations with Latin American countries and enhancing its strategic partnerships on the international stage.

An Official Ceremony in San José with Foreign Delegations

The inauguration ceremony was held at the National Stadium of San José, attended by several heads of state, foreign delegations, representatives from international organizations, and members of the diplomatic corps accredited to Costa Rica.

During this event, Laura Fernandez took the oath of office as the President of the Republic of Costa Rica for a term of four years.

Talbi El Alami Conveying Congratulations from King Mohammed VI

Appointed by the Sovereign, Rachid Talbi El Alami conveyed to the Costa Rican president the warm congratulations of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, along with his wishes for success in her high office.

The Moroccan official also expressed the Sovereign’s hopes for the Costa Rican people to continue progressing towards greater advancement, development, and prosperity.

Rachid Talbi El Alami was accompanied during this ceremony by the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Morocco to Costa Rica, who resides in Guatemala, Tarik Louajri.

Morocco Seeks to Strengthen Relations with Costa Rica

His Majesty King Mohammed VI had previously sent a message of congratulations to Laura Fernandez on her election as President of Costa Rica. In this message, the Sovereign praised the friendship and mutual esteem that unite the Kingdom of Morocco and the Republic of Costa Rica.

King Mohammed VI also reaffirmed his willingness to work closely with the new president to further enhance bilateral cooperation and elevate Moroccan-Costa Rican relations to an exemplary level, serving the interests of both friendly peoples.
