National Federation of Real Estate Developers Holds Key Meeting with Shelter Afrique Development Bank

On May 20, 2026, the National Federation of Real Estate Developers (FNPI) convened a meeting with two representatives from Shelter Afrique Development Bank, an institution specializing in housing finance across Africa and a subsidiary affiliated with the African Development Bank.

The meeting featured Mr. Edmond Adjikpe, Director of Public-Private Partnerships and Public Sector Relations, alongside Mr. Yvon Ouedraogo, Principal Investment Expert.

Exploring New Financing Solutions for Moroccan Developers

The discussions centered on alternative financing options aimed at Moroccan real estate developers. Shelter Afrique outlined its support mechanisms, which include project financing, institutional loans, equity participation, and public-private partnerships.

The goal is to offer solutions tailored to the needs of the Moroccan real estate market, particularly in the affordable housing and commercial real estate segments.

A Financing Proposal in the Works

As a result of this meeting, it was agreed that representatives from Shelter Afrique would develop a concrete financing proposal for FNPI members. This proposal will be submitted to the Board of Directors upon its approval.

Both parties also discussed the potential for organizing an exploratory mission in Africa, with support from Shelter Afrique, to explore new investment opportunities and partnership avenues.
