Bank Al-Maghrib Launches the Third Edition of Its Economic and Financial Research Prize

Bank Al-Maghrib (BAM) has announced the opening of applications for the third edition of the “Bank Al-Maghrib Prize for Economic and Financial Research,” an initiative aimed at encouraging academic excellence and promoting research in the fields of economics and finance in Morocco.

This competition is open to Moroccan researchers under 40 years old who have defended a doctoral thesis in economics or finance at a higher education institution in Morocco or abroad.

Two Awards and a Jury’s Special Prize

Following the selection process, two main awards will be granted: an Excellence Award and an Encouragement Award. The jury reserves the right to present a Heartfelt Award to recognize particularly outstanding research work.

Interested candidates can consult the participation guidelines and all relevant documentation regarding the competition on the official Bank Al-Maghrib website. The deadline for submitting applications is set for September 25, 2026.

Supporting Economic Research in Morocco

Through this initiative, Bank Al-Maghrib aims to strengthen ties between the institution and the academic world while encouraging scientific production in areas related to its missions.

This prize is part of the central bank’s social responsibility policy and seeks to value research work, promote intellectual innovation, and contribute to the development of the national economic and financial research ecosystem.
