GEA Secures Contract in Morocco for Equipment on Guercif-Nador Highway

The French group GEA (Grenobloise d’Électronique et d’Automatismes) is strengthening its presence in Morocco by signing a contract to equip a section of the Guercif-Nador highway. This project aligns with the company’s international development strategy, which reports an increase in activity in the first half of the 2025-2026 fiscal year.

In its semi-annual results for 2025-2026, GEA highlighted Morocco as one of its key international markets. The company announced the signing of several projects in the Kingdom, including a contract for the equipping of a section of the Guercif-Nador highway.
This undertaking further confirms the group’s growing interest in the Moroccan market, where investments in transport infrastructure are presenting new opportunities for companies specializing in highway technologies.
Technological Solutions for the Guercif-Nador Highway
GEA will be involved in this project through its core competencies, which include toll equipment, highway management systems, and technologies aimed at enhancing traffic flow and safety.
The company is well-known for its expertise in developing smart mobility solutions, implemented across many highway networks in Europe and internationally.
Growth Driven by International Markets
As of March 31, 2026, GEA reported a growth in activity, with production reaching €22.81 million, compared to €18.94 million a year earlier.
Revenue generated in France increased by 22%, while international markets accounted for nearly 55% of the group’s billing. In addition to Morocco, the company secured new contracts in Poland, Greece, and Central Asia.
A Strong Financial Position
Financially, GEA presents robust indicators. The gross margin stands at €13.03 million, while the gross operating surplus reaches €2.12 million.
The group recorded a net profit of €1.31 million and emphasizes its particularly strong financial structure, with no debt, €54.91 million in equity, and a net cash position of €40.17 million.
A Favorable Order Book
GEA continues its international expansion with a firm order book of €61.7 million as of March 31, 2026, with nearly 69% coming from foreign markets.
Alongside its projects in Morocco, the group is working in collaboration with major French highway concessionaires, including VINCI, Eiffage, and Abertis. It is also developing several free-flow toll projects in France while strengthening its presence in Poland, Greece, and Switzerland through new contracts in mobility infrastructure.
