Morocco Advances in FIFA’s Global Futsal Rankings

The Moroccan men’s futsal team has secured a spot to rise to the 6th position in the global rankings, while the women’s team has made an impressive leap of 18 places, according to the latest world rankings released on Friday by FIFA.

Despite a decrease of 7.6 points compared to the previous ranking in October 2024, Morocco benefited from Kazakhstan’s drop, which fell two places (-60.91 points). With 1468.4 points, Morocco remains the leader in the African ranking, followed at a distance by Egypt (37th), Libya (46th), South Africa (49th, +2), and Angola (58th).

In the global Top 5, Brazil maintains its first-place position, ahead of Portugal by over 100 points. Spain (3rd, +1) has overtaken Argentina (4th, -1), while Iran (5th, +1) and Morocco (6th, +1) have also improved at Kazakhstan’s expense (7th, -2).

Furthermore, Poland (19th, +3) and Armenia (20th, +11) have made their debut in the top 20. Several other teams have seen significant progress since last October, notably Bosnia and Herzegovina (36th, +12), Andorra (55th, +13), Latvia (60th, +11), and Greece (88th, +19).

On the women’s side, Morocco has achieved an outstanding performance with an 18-place rise, now reaching the 47th position globally. This achievement places them at the top of the African rankings, followed by Senegal, which is ranked 78th (+753 points).
