Casablanca Hosts the First Moroccan Edition of the China-Africa Expo 2026
Morocco to Host China-Africa Economic and Trade Exhibition in Casablanca
The city of Casablanca will host the Moroccan edition of the China-Africa Economic and Trade Exhibition from June 10 to 12, 2026, under the theme “Discovering Africa.” This significant event will take place at the Casablanca International Exhibition Center and marks the first of its kind in Morocco.
A Strategic Partnership Organizes the Event
This edition is organized collaboratively by the Secretariat of the China-Africa Economic and Trade Exhibition and the Moroccan Ministry of Industry and Trade. It is part of the celebrations for the tenth anniversary of the strategic partnership between Morocco and China.
The chosen theme, “Acting Together China-Africa, Building the Future,” reflects both parties’ desire to enhance economic exchanges and promote sustainable cooperation between Moroccan and Chinese enterprises.
Morocco: A Strategic Platform Between Continents
Choosing Morocco to host this edition sends a strong signal. Following previous events in Kenya and Nigeria, the China-Africa Exhibition will make its debut in the Kingdom, highlighting Morocco’s position as a platform bridging Africa, Europe, and the Middle East.
This development confirms Morocco’s growing role in economic exchanges between China and the African continent.
A Major Business Space
The event will cover more than 7,000 square meters and bring together nearly 250 Moroccan and Chinese companies. The sectors represented will include renewable energy, industrial and technological equipment, mining, construction materials, automotive, medical devices, and agri-food.
The program will feature an opening ceremony, economic and trade matchmaking sessions, along with B2B meetings aimed at fostering concrete partnership agreements.
An Economic and Strategic Challenge
The China-Africa Exhibition has established itself over the years as a key event in Sino-African economic cooperation, boasting over 512 projects and more than $64.7 billion in announced investments.
For Morocco, this edition represents an opportunity to solidify its role as a regional industrial and commercial hub, while strengthening economic ties with China, a key partner on the African continent.
The success of this edition will, however, depend on its ability to generate tangible projects and sustainable partnerships between operators from both countries.
