Casablanca Hosts the International Transport and Logistics Fair for Africa and the Mediterranean

A Strategic Platform for the Logistics Sector
Organized under the auspices of King Mohammed VI, the event was inaugurated in the presence of the Minister of Transport and Logistics, Abdessamad Kayouh, the President of the Casablanca-Settat region, Abdellatif Maâzouz, and the Spanish Ambassador to Morocco, Enrique Ojeda Vila.
The exhibition has established itself as a reference platform dedicated to professionals in transport, logistics, and supply chains both nationally and internationally.
Morocco Strengthens its Regional Logistics Positioning
On this occasion, the exhibition president, Ali Barada, emphasized that logistics has become a major strategic lever for business competitiveness, the attractiveness of territories, and the economic sovereignty of states. He stated that Morocco is continuing its momentum to become a regional and continental logistics hub, thanks to its strategic geographical location, modern infrastructure, and a rapidly growing industrial fabric.
Toward Smarter Logistics Chains
The official also stressed the necessity of developing more flexible, digitized, and sustainable logistics chains capable of integrating artificial intelligence, data, and innovative technologies to enhance real-time performance.
Business Leaders Call for Strengthening Road Transport with Europe
For his part, Hakim Marrakchi, Vice President of the General Confederation of Enterprises of Morocco (CGEM), urged the Moroccan and Spanish governments to engage in discussions with the European Union regarding a comprehensive agreement on road transport. According to him, this agreement would facilitate the mobility of professional transporters and enhance the flow of trade between Morocco and Europe.
More than 7,000 Visitors Expected
This edition is expected to welcome over 7,000 professional visitors from various economic sectors, coming to discover innovative solutions aimed at improving competitiveness and logistics efficiency. The program includes conferences, round tables, and thematic meetings dedicated to artificial intelligence, e-commerce, cybersecurity, logistics zones, and public investments.
Strong Spanish Participation
Spain is participating in the exhibition with an official pavilion featuring 27 companies and institutions specializing in transport, port management, digitalization, and services related to international trade, thereby illustrating the strength of economic relations between Rabat and Madrid in the logistics sector.
