LabelVie aims for 47 billion MAD in revenue by 2030.

LabelVie and Retail Holding: A Strategic Merger Sets Ambitious Goals for 2030
The merger between LabelVie and Retail Holding marks a new phase in the growth strategy of the Moroccan group. Through this operation, the newly formed entity sets ambitious financial targets for 2030, aiming for a forecasted revenue of 47 billion dirhams, an EBITDA of 3.8 billion dirhams, and an estimated net profit of 1.5 billion dirhams.
This merger also signifies a significant shift in the positioning of LabelVie, which has historically focused on grocery retail. By integrating the operations of Retail Holding, the group aims to broaden its scope and enhance its presence across various economic sectors.
Diversification Beyond Grocery Retail
With this operation, LabelVie will incorporate business segments such as collective catering, corporate services, textiles, and other commercial activities managed by Retail Holding. This diversification is expected to be one of the main drivers of growth in the coming years.
Out of the targeted 47 billion dirhams in revenue by 2030, approximately 11 billion is anticipated to come from the activities introduced by Retail Holding. However, the newly merged entity does not rely solely on expanding its scope to achieve its objectives.
Leaders are also banking on synergies between the two organizations, resource sharing, and economies of scale. The goal is to enhance operational performance and generate value creation that surpasses what would result from a simple consolidation of activities.
A Merger Bonus of 12 Billion Dirhams
The operation is expected to significantly impact the financial structure of the group. It would reveal a merger bonus of 12 billion dirhams, aimed at strengthening LabelVie’s equity.
According to the information provided by the executives, this development should improve debt indicators. The current debt ratio, slightly above 50%, could be reduced to around 30% thanks to the new financial structure.
Beyond its financial effects, the merger is set to facilitate coordination in investment decisions. Before the merger, LabelVie and Retail Holding may have been interested in opportunities within related sectors without necessarily aligning their shareholder interests. The new organization intends to bring these projects together under one umbrella.
New Prospects in Commerce and Africa
This reorganization could notably pave the way for new developments in areas like DIY (do-it-yourself) and footwear, with a coordinated approach at the group level, eliminating competition among its different components.
The transformation occurs as LabelVie already had a development plan in place through 2028. With the integration of Retail Holding’s activities, the group can now revise its ambitions upward and set a new strategic objective for 2030.
The group aims to continue its expansion in Morocco while gradually exploring new opportunities in other African markets.
Through this merger, LabelVie aspires to evolve beyond its traditional model as a food distributor, aiming to become a multi-brand and multi-activity group, with a presence expected to expand beyond the national market.
