Title: Morocco’s Strategic Ascendancy: A High-Level Diplomatic and Academic Meeting in Istanbul

In a climate marked by increased international support for the territorial integrity of the Kingdom, and in line with His Majesty King Mohammed VI’s vision to strengthen Morocco’s position on the global stage, a high-level academic and diplomatic meeting will be held in Istanbul under the theme “Morocco’s Strategic Ascendancy: Trade, Diplomacy, and Global Influence.”

This initiative is spearheaded by the Moroccan Youth Council for Diplomatic and International Cooperation, in collaboration with Beykoz International University, and is scheduled to take place on Saturday, June 6, 2026, in the conference hall of the university campus in Istanbul.

The objective of this meeting is to highlight the growing role of Morocco in the international geopolitical landscape. Discussions will focus on the dynamics of support for Morocco’s sovereignty over the Sahara and its autonomy initiative, which is seen as a serious and credible proposal within the framework of United Nations Security Council resolutions.

The exchanges will also cover Morocco’s strategic position within global trade and communication networks, the levers of Moroccan soft power in West Africa, and the prospects for cooperation and partnership between Morocco and Turkey across various economic, diplomatic, and academic sectors.

This meeting will bring together experts and researchers in international relations and diplomacy, featuring several academic speakers and specialists in African affairs and international relations, aimed at enriching the discourse on current geopolitical transformations and Morocco’s positioning within its regional and global environment.

Moderated by individuals from the academic and diplomatic sectors, the event will offer simultaneous interpretation to ensure that all international participants can engage fully in the discussions.

This initiative forms part of a broader movement of parallel and academic diplomacy aimed at enhancing Morocco’s visibility and promoting its strategic positions within international academic and institutional circles.
