Orange Morocco Engages Generation Z to Accelerate the Development of Artificial Intelligence in Morocco

Orange Morocco Hosts GenZ AI Summit 2026: Empowering the Next Generation

Orange Morocco gathered numerous students, entrepreneurs, experts, and innovation stakeholders in Casablanca for the second edition of the GenZ AI Summit 2026. This event focused on artificial intelligence and its impact on younger generations, aiming to position Generation Z as a key player in the country’s digital transformation rather than merely consumers of new technologies.

Under the theme “AI and Generation Z: Learning, Creating, and Innovating with Artificial Intelligence,” the summit explored the opportunities AI presents across various sectors, including entrepreneurship, design, human resources, data, gaming, and local languages. The event also highlighted new professions and skills emerging from this technological revolution.

The gathering was attended by Amal El Fallah Seghrouchni, the Minister Delegate for Digital Transition and Administrative Reform, who reiterated Morocco’s ambitions regarding technological sovereignty. As part of the "Morocco Digital 2030" strategy, the Kingdom aims to develop a national ecosystem capable of generating its own AI solutions, training talent, and enhancing its technological independence.

Additionally, the event featured the signing of a memorandum of understanding between Orange Morocco and the Ministry of Digital Transition. This agreement aims to accelerate the development and testing of AI-based solutions across several strategic sectors, including digital administration, healthcare, education, and agriculture.

Through its Orange Digital Center, the telecom operator continues its commitment to innovation and digital inclusion. Over 200,000 young people have already benefited from training in digital skills, and hundreds of startups have been supported in their technological ventures.

This initiative underscores Orange Morocco’s determination to foster a new generation of talents capable of actively contributing to the development of AI tailored in Morocco to meet the needs of the African continent.
