Oil Prices Continue to Rise Amid Supply Disruptions in the Middle East

Oil prices saw another increase this Wednesday, bolstered by reports of supply disturbances in the Middle East, a critical region for global energy production.

Brent Crude on a Continuous Upswing

Brent crude rose by 52 cents, or 0.47%, reaching $111.78 per barrel in June futures. This marks the eighth consecutive day of gains for the black gold.

WTI Surpasses the $100 Mark

Meanwhile, West Texas Intermediate (WTI) increased by 57 cents, or 0.57%, hitting $100.50 per barrel after a significant rise of 3.7% in the previous session.

A Market Sensitive to Geopolitical Tensions

This upward trend is driven by concerns regarding potential supply disruptions from the Middle East amid ongoing geopolitical tensions, which continue to exert pressure on energy markets.
