Rubicon Water to Modernize Irrigation in Tadla

Rubicon Water Selected for Irrigation Modernization Project in Béni Moussa

Rubicon Water announced on Monday its selection for a project aimed at modernizing the primary irrigation canals serving the agricultural area of Béni Moussa, located in the Tadla region.

This irrigated area spans approximately 69,600 hectares and is one of the main agricultural basins affected by the region’s irrigation infrastructure.

The Australian company’s intervention will focus on updating the management and operation of the canals that supply the agricultural enterprises within this perimeter.

Total Channel Control Technology at the Core of the Initiative

For this project, Rubicon Water plans to deploy its Total Channel Control (TCC) technology, designed to automate and enhance the management of irrigation networks.

This solution enables more precise control of water flow within the canals, aiming to tailor distribution to the needs of various sectors throughout the network. It is part of a broader approach to improve the management of water resources and the operational efficiency of irrigation infrastructures.

The project arises in a context where agricultural water management is a major challenge for Morocco’s irrigated territories, particularly in light of increasing pressures on water resources.

A Contract That Opens New Opportunities in Morocco

For Rubicon Water, the operation in Tadla extends beyond the immediate scope of the project.

The Australian group sees this initiative as a benchmark that could support its commercial development in Morocco, as well as in other North African markets.

The company intends to leverage its work in the Béni Moussa area to showcase the capabilities of its technology while seeking new opportunities in the modernization of irrigation networks.

With this project, Tadla is becoming a new field for implementing technological solutions aimed at improving the management of agricultural hydraulic infrastructures.
