SRM Casablanca-Settat Launches New Agencies in Berrechid and Lahsasna to Enhance Water, Electricity, and Sanitation Services.

The Regional Multi-Service Company Casablanca-Settat (SRM-CS) inaugurated two new local agencies on Thursday in Berrechid and the municipality of Lahsasna, along with the new headquarters of its provincial directorate in Berrechid.

Enhancing Local Services

These new facilities aim to improve the quality of public services related to:

  • drinking water
  • electricity
  • liquid sanitation

The main objective is to strengthen proximity to users and ensure better territorial equity in access to essential services.

A More Efficient and Modern Organization

According to the General Director of SRM-CS, Youssef Ettazi, these new infrastructures will also optimize internal organization and improve working conditions for staff.

The new provincial headquarters in Berrechid now consolidates all executives and operators in a single space, facilitating smoother and more coordinated management.

A Provincial Directorate at the Heart of Major Projects

The provincial directorate of Berrechid plays a key role in managing basic infrastructure, especially in an area marked by numerous structuring projects.

It oversees the operation of:

  • 1,580 km of liquid sanitation network
  • over 3,100 km of drinking water network
  • a vast medium and low voltage electricity network

A Significant Customer Portfolio

SRM Casablanca-Settat serves a wide customer portfolio, which includes:

  • approximately 210,000 electricity customers
  • over 165,000 drinking water customers
  • nearly 155,000 liquid sanitation customers

These services cater to individuals, administrations, and industrial actors alike.

A Vision Focused on Performance and Proximity

With these new infrastructures, SRM-CS reaffirms its commitment to modernizing its public services and strengthening its proximity to citizens.

This initiative aligns with a comprehensive strategy aimed at improving the quality of essential services and supporting the territorial development of the Casablanca-Settat region.
