The Government Council reviews an extradition agreement between Morocco and Vietnam.

The Government Council, convening on Thursday, April 2, 2026, has taken note of an extradition agreement between the Kingdom of Morocco and the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, signed in Hanoi on October 25, 2025.

Presentation of a Draft Law for Approval

Following the weekly meeting, Mustapha Baitas, the Minister Delegate for Relations with Parliament and Government Spokesperson, indicated that the Council has reviewed draft law No. 020.26, aimed at approving this agreement.

He specified that this text was presented by the Minister of Justice on behalf of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Moroccans Living Abroad.

A Step Towards Strengthening Judicial Cooperation

This agreement is part of the effort to enhance judicial cooperation between the two countries, particularly in the fight against crime and the facilitation of extradition procedures.

It also reflects Morocco’s commitment to expanding its network of international partnerships in the legal field, to better address the challenges posed by transnational crime.
