The SRM Fès-Meknès Caravan on Tour in Ifrane to Strengthen Local Engagement

As part of its communication and community engagement strategy, the Regional Multiservices Company (SRM) of Fès-Meknès has made a stop in the province of Ifrane, continuing its series of local meetings. This fourth stop is part of a series of regional discussions coordinated with the Federation of Local Authorities “Fès-Meknès Distribution.”

A High-Level Meeting with Local Stakeholders

This meeting was chaired by the governor of the Ifrane province, Mr. Idriss Misbah, and attended by local elected officials, heads of external services, and technical managers. Discussions focused on priorities related to water, electricity, and sanitation sectors, with an emphasis on strengthening institutional coordination.

Solutions Tailored to the Realities of the Middle Atlas

The discussions highlighted the specific needs of the ten municipalities within the province, taking into account the geographic and climatic constraints unique to the Middle Atlas region. Several approaches were explored to enhance network performance and ensure service continuity, particularly in mountainous and isolated areas.

A Local-Centered Planning Approach

Participants agreed on adopting a strategy based on a thorough diagnosis of each municipality’s needs, combining technical efficiency with a social dimension. The aim is to accelerate the realization of key projects, enhance the quality of public services, and support local development in the Ifrane province.

A Stronger Commitment to Community Engagement

This meeting reaffirms the SRM Fès-Meknès’s commitment to strengthening its community engagement policy, adapting its actions to local specificities and the expectations of citizens.
