Wednesday, December 17: The Casablanca Stock Exchange Opens in the Green

Casablanca Stock Exchange Begins Trading on a Positive Note
The Casablanca Stock Exchange kicked off trading on a positive note Wednesday, with its main index, the MASI, rising by 0.42% to reach 18,661.22 points.
The MASI 20, which comprises the 20 most liquid stocks, gained 0.4% to settle at 1,509.37 points. Meanwhile, the MASI ESG, which features companies with the highest ESG ratings according to Moody’s ESG Solutions, increased by 0.37%, reaching 1,264.81 points.
Additionally, the MASI Mid and Small Cap index, which reflects the performance of small and medium-sized enterprises, made a modest gain of 0.11%, climbing to 1,839.73 points.
In terms of individual stocks, Microdata stood out with a notable rise of 4% to 780 MAD. Other strong performers included AtlantaSanad (+3.1% to 147.95 MAD), Fenie Brossette (+2.46% to 412 MAD), Afric Industries (+2.12% to 337 MAD), and TGCC (+1.96% to 935 MAD).
Conversely, the stocks that experienced the most significant declines were CMGP Group (-2.15% to 362.05 MAD), SNEP (-2.04% to 480 MAD), Cash Pus (-1.54% to 307.2 MAD), Bank Of Africa (-1.2% to 230 MAD), and Colorado (-0.48% to 82.5 MAD).
On Tuesday, the MASI had closed with a gain of 0.16%.
