China Launches Global Initiative for the Peaceful Use of Nuclear Technologies

Global Initiative Launched to Enhance Cooperation in Nuclear Technology

A new global initiative aimed at strengthening cooperation in the field of nuclear technology has been launched in Beijing during the third International Conference on Nuclear Technology Applications, which gathered numerous experts and stakeholders from the industry.

A Vision for Open and Inclusive Cooperation
The initiative was introduced by the China Society of Radioisotopes and Radiation under the title: "Initiative for Co-constructing an Open, Inclusive, and Mutually Beneficial International Industrial Ecosystem for Nuclear Technology Applications." This initiative calls upon international organizations, industrial institutions, researchers, and enterprises to unite their efforts in promoting the peaceful and global use of nuclear technologies, built on a foundation of mutual respect, equity, and shared development.

Objectives: Innovation and Sustainable Development
This initiative also aims to explore new avenues for global cooperation, maintain a stable, open, and secure industrial ecosystem, and foster the exchange of expertise. Furthermore, it seeks to address common challenges by proposing innovative solutions for sustainable development and economic recovery.

Notable International Participation
The conference brought together over 400 participants from more than 20 countries, including China, Russia, the United Kingdom, France, the United States, Canada, and Australia. This representation highlights the growing interest of the international community in developing peaceful uses of nuclear energy.
