Swissport Morocco Completes Acquisition of Swiftair Morocco in the Air Cargo Sector

Swissport Morocco Completes Acquisition of Swiftair Morocco
Swissport Morocco has successfully finalized its acquisition of Swiftair Morocco, a strategic move that marks a significant milestone in the consolidation of the airport services and air freight sector in Morocco.
This acquisition involves Swiftair Morocco, a specialist in cargo handling operations at Mohammed V Airport in Casablanca, the country’s primary air freight hub. The operation entails the takeover of the entire capital of the company, aligning with Swissport’s expansion strategy in logistics and airport services.
Already active in several airports across Morocco with passenger handling, ground services, and lounge management, Swissport Morocco is strengthening its position in the air freight segment. The integration of Swiftair Morocco allows the company to broaden its service offerings to include more specialized cargo services, particularly in handling, logistics, and the management of sensitive goods flows.
This move occurs against a backdrop of growth in air freight transportation in Morocco, supported by a surge in industrial and agricultural exports, as well as Casablanca’s strategic role as a connecting platform between Europe, Africa, and the Americas.
The acquisition is expected to enhance the operational capabilities of Swissport Morocco and improve the competitiveness of the national logistics hub, while supporting the escalation of international supply chains.
With this operation, Swissport reaffirms its commitment to integrating airport services in Morocco and its ambition to solidify its presence in a rapidly expanding market.
