Achraf Hakimi Wins the Golden Lion Award for the Second Consecutive Year

Moroccan international Achraf Hakimi has won the 2025 Golden Lion Award, following a vote organized by the newspaper “Al Mountakhab,” which involved the participation of 57 media outlets.
This marks the second consecutive victory for the right-back of the Atlas Lions, who is also a strong contender for the African Ballon d’Or.
Hakimi becomes the second Moroccan player to achieve this honor, following his compatriot Yassine Bounou, who won it during the 15th edition.
The PSG player was favored over Egyptian star Mohamed Salah and Guinean international Serhou Guirassy.
