Casablanca Stock Exchange Opens Slightly Upbeat
The Casablanca Stock Exchange began trading on Friday with a mildly positive tone. Its main index, the "MASI," increased by 0.12%, settling at 17,762.68 points.
The "MASI.20" index, which reflects the performance of the 20 largest listed companies, also saw an uptick of 0.25%, reaching 1,381.96 points. Meanwhile, the "MASI Mid and Small Cap" index, dedicated to small and medium-sized enterprises, recorded a rise of 0.27%, hitting 1,932.58 points.
Conversely, the "MASI.ESG" index, which includes companies rated highly in environmental, social, and governance criteria, experienced a slight decline of 0.05%, closing at 1,329.13 points.
As a point of reference, the MASI concluded Thursday’s session with a marginal decrease of 0.02%.
