Elite Agro Strengthens Its Presence in Morocco with a Seventh Farm and Over 500 Million Emirati Dirhams Invested

The Emirati group Elite Agro is continuing its expansion in Morocco. Through its subsidiary, Elite Harvest Morocco, the company has inaugurated a new agricultural operation in the Kénitra region, increasing the total number of its farms in the Kingdom to seven. With this project, the group’s cumulative investments in Morocco now exceed 500 million Emirati dirhams.
A Farm Dedicated to Premium Berries
Spanning an area of 200 hectares, the new farm specializes in the production of blueberries and raspberries, aimed at both national and international markets. The site is equipped with state-of-the-art irrigation systems and advanced agricultural technologies designed to enhance productivity, crop quality, and operational sustainability.
The inauguration event was attended by several Moroccan and Emirati officials, including the UAE Ambassador to Morocco, Al Asri Al Dhaheri, and the President of the Arab Authority for Agricultural Investment and Development, Obaid Saif Al Zaabi.
Morocco: A Strategic Platform for Elite Agro
According to Hassan Halawy, General Director of Elite Agro Holding, Morocco is now the group’s primary platform for berry production. He also announced that new agricultural projects are currently in the pipeline to further solidify the company’s presence in the Kingdom.
Thanks to its investments, Elite Agro claims to have contributed to the creation of more than 8,000 jobs in Morocco. Through Elite Harvest Morocco, the group operates several agricultural sites located in Kénitra, Sidi Yahya, Fès, Béni Mellal, Sefrou, Marrakech, and Benslimane.
A Diversified Production Focused on Export
In addition to blueberries and raspberries, the company also produces pomegranates, apples, pears, peaches, nectarines, grapes, cherries, citrus fruits, persimmons, and plums. A significant portion of this production is intended for export markets, thus contributing to the international prominence of Moroccan agriculture.
The group’s farms benefit from various internationally recognized certifications, including GLOBALG.A.P., GRASP, Tesco Nurture, SPRING, Field to Fork, and SMETA, which confirm adherence to quality, sustainability, and social responsibility standards.
A Strong Signal for Morocco’s Agricultural Appeal
This new establishment underscores the growing interest of international investors in Morocco’s agricultural sector. Given its climatic, logistical, and commercial advantages, the Kingdom continues to attract significant projects in high value-added sectors, particularly in the berry industry.
