Morocco Launches the “Artisway” App to Accelerate the Digitalization of Handicrafts and Support Artisans.

The State Secretariat for Crafts and Social and Solidarity Economy has launched a new digital application in Rabat called “Artisway.” This tool aims to strengthen the presence of Moroccan artisans in the digital space and facilitate consumer access to their products.
This initiative is part of a national momentum to modernize the craft sector through the integration of digital technologies, enhancing its competitiveness and appeal.
A Project Driven by Institutional Cooperation
The development of this application is based on collaboration between the State Secretariat, the Crafts House, and the Digital Development Agency (ADD). The goal is to support the digital transformation of the sector and expand marketing channels for artisanal products.
This approach reflects the commitment of public institutions to further structure the sector and enhance its visibility both nationally and internationally.
An Interactive Platform Linking Artisans and Consumers
“Artisway” serves as an interactive digital platform that directly connects artisans with consumers. It provides detailed information about spaces dedicated to crafts, including points of sale, craft complexes, and artisan villages.
The application also features geolocation capabilities, enabling users to easily identify the nearest craft spaces.
A Database Set to Expand Gradually
In its initial phase, the platform lists 68 reference points spread across 10 cities in the Kingdom. This database is expected to gradually expand, aiming for around 700 points of sale by 2029.
This evolution is aligned with the development prospects of the sector, particularly in connection with anticipated tourism dynamics in the coming years.
A Tool to Enhance Artisan Visibility
The application also allows artisans with online stores to integrate links to their digital platforms, thereby increasing their visibility and broadening their customer base.
It facilitates the discovery of Moroccan artisanal products and promotes direct contact between producers and consumers.
A National Strategy for Sector Modernization
The launch of “Artisway” is part of a national strategy aimed at digitizing the craft sector, improving its competitiveness, and adapting it to economic and technological changes.
This initiative also aims to leverage the potential of the tourism sector by further valuing Moroccan artisanal expertise in both national and international markets.
