A Positive Momentum in Bilateral Relations
During a meeting between Moroccan Foreign Minister Nasser Bourita and Swiss Federal Councillor and Head of the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs Ignazio Cassis, both parties praised the positive momentum characterizing the relations between Rabat and Bern.

The two officials highlighted the convergence of their positions on several issues of mutual interest, as well as the intensification of exchanges at both bilateral and multilateral levels.

Enhanced Cooperation, Especially on Migration
The Moroccan minister also held discussions with Federal Councillor Beat Jans, who is responsible for justice and police, focusing on the prospects for cooperation between the two countries, particularly in the area of migration.

The Swiss side welcomed the existing level of cooperation, particularly established through the migration dialogue launched in September 2023, which takes the form of a mixed and permanent group dedicated to migration.

The two countries agreed to jointly organize an event in 2026 to mark the 20th anniversary of the Rabat Process, initiated in 2006. This initiative reflects the strength and continuity of the partnership between Rabat and Bern.
