Sothema acquires Ramo Pharm and strengthens its wellness division.

Moroccan Pharmaceutical Group Sothema Acquires 100% of Ramo Pharm

On October 28, 2026, the Moroccan pharmaceutical group Sothema announced the signing of an agreement to acquire 100% of Ramo Pharm, a Moroccan company specializing in dietary supplements. This strategic move is aimed at strengthening Sothema’s presence in the wellness and public health market.

Through this acquisition, Sothema intends to diversify its activities and develop a new division focused on Wellness & Consumer Health, complementing its historical expertise in pharmaceuticals, specialized products, and dialysis solutions.

Ramo Pharm: A Moroccan Player in Dietary Supplements

Founded in 1999 and based in Casablanca, Ramo Pharm specializes in the development and marketing of dietary supplements, particularly distributed through pharmacies. The company has a portfolio of brands that includes Enrouex, ZENmag, Toudex, Hivernex, and Matervit.

Ramo Pharm’s products cover several segments associated with health and wellness, focusing on areas such as immune strengthening, sleep enhancement, stress management, and women’s health.

The integration of this company will enable Sothema to solidify its positioning in a market where public health products are increasingly pivotal in the diversification strategies of pharmaceutical groups.

Sothema Focuses on a New Wellness & Consumer Health Division

With this operation, Sothema plans to establish a dedicated division for wellness and public health, intended to complement its existing activities. This direction aims to broaden its product portfolio and strengthen its presence across various segments of the health market.

The group also intends to leverage its international distribution networks to support the development of Ramo Pharm and promote the expansion of its brands beyond the national market.

This strategy hinges on the complementarity between Ramo Pharm’s expertise in dietary supplements and Sothema’s industrial and commercial capabilities. However, the specific details of this expansion have not been disclosed in the announcement.

Acquisition Still Subject to Regulatory Approvals

The transaction involves the complete acquisition of Ramo Pharm. Nevertheless, its finalization is contingent upon adherence to applicable regulatory procedures, notably the approval from the Competition Council.

The financial terms of the operation have not been made public.

This acquisition marks a significant step in Sothema’s diversification strategy. By enhancing its activities in dietary supplements and public health, the group aims to reinforce its position in the Moroccan wellness market while opening new avenues for development through its international distribution networks.
