A Strategic Budget of Over 10.5 Billion Dirhams
The Board of Directors of the Regional Multiservice Company – Oriental, during a meeting held in Oujda, approved an ambitious investment budget spanning the period 2026–2030, with a total envelope exceeding 10.5 billion dirhams, including 1 billion dirhams allocated for the year 2026. This decision is part of the implementation of the company’s strategic development plan.
Presentation of the 2026 Budget Project and the Multiannual Plan
This session focused on examining several key points, notably the presentation of the 2026 budget project and the 2026–2030 multiannual plan, regarded as two essential levers for improving the company’s performance and enhancing its efficiency. Additionally, there was oversight on the implementation of the management contract objectives aimed at modernizing and improving the distribution services for electricity, drinking water, and wastewater.
Good Governance and Quality of Public Service
Board members emphasized the importance of solidifying the principles of good governance and establishing the foundations of a modern regional public service, capable of meeting the expectations of the inhabitants of the Oriental region while ensuring continuity and quality of services, as well as territorial equity among the various provinces and municipalities.
A Year Marked by a New Management Dynamic
On the occasion of approximately one year since the company’s effective functioning, participants praised the new management dynamic adopted, based on strategic planning, modernization of infrastructures, strengthening local management, and improving technical and financial performance.
Details of Investment and Operating Budgets
During the meeting, the General Director provided a detailed presentation regarding the investment and operating budget projects for the year 2026, as well as the development plan for the 2026–2030 period. This plan relies on mobilizing significant financial resources guided by a methodological approach aimed at achieving the goals of the integrated territorial development program, through harmonizing visions and coordinating investments among the various stakeholders.
Creation of 230 New Jobs
The 2026 budget project also anticipates the creation of 230 new positions, distributed among technical, administrative, and financial specialties, thereby strengthening the company’s human resources and supporting its management and technical intervention capabilities.
Call for Continuous Improvement of Services and Environmental Protection
In concluding the discussions, the Chairman of the Board called for ongoing efforts to enhance service quality and the optimal management of distribution facilities, while ensuring the application of water conservation principles and environmental protection in the management of regional public services.
Approval and Message of Loyalty
The Board unanimously approved the budget project for 2026 and the 2026–2030 multiannual plan, along with several organizational points. On this occasion, a message of loyalty and fidelity was conveyed to His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God assist and glorify Him.
