Weather Alert Bulletin: Strong Wind Gusts and Sand or Dust Storms Expected on Friday and Saturday in the South of the Kingdom

Strong wind gusts (75 to 85 km/h) accompanied by dust or sand storms are forecast for Friday and Saturday in the southern regions of the Kingdom, according to the General Directorate of Meteorology (DGM).

This weather event will affect the provinces of Tan-Tan, Assa-Zag, Boujdour, Laâyoune, Tarfaya, and Es-Semara on Friday from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. The DGM issued an orange-level weather alert, noting that these wind gusts and the storm will also occur on Saturday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. in the provinces of Assa-Zag, Tarfaya, Laâyoune, Es-Semara, Tata, Boujdour, and Zagora.
