Weather Forecast for Friday: Instability Expected
The General Directorate of Meteorology anticipates a generally unstable weather pattern for this Friday, characterized by thunderstorms accompanied by hail in regions including the Rif, the western Mediterranean coast, the northern and central Atlantic plains, as well as the High and Middle Atlas mountains and their surrounding areas, not to mention the Oriental region.
Rain and Snowfall Expected
Rain or occasionally thunderstorm-like showers are also forecasted for the Souss, the Anti-Atlas, and the northwestern Saharan provinces, with snowfall expected on the peaks of the High Atlas.
Strong Wind Gusts Forecasted
Moderate to strong wind gusts are anticipated in the Oriental region, the Atlas areas, and the Southern provinces, enhancing the sensation of coolness throughout these areas.
Variable Temperatures
Minimum temperatures will range between -5 and 0°C in the coldest regions, between 15 and 20°C in the Oriental and some areas of the Southern provinces, and between 6 and 12°C elsewhere. Daytime temperatures will see a slight increase in the northern Atlantic plains, the Mediterranean coast, and the Oriental region.
Sea State
The sea is expected to be mildly to moderately agitated in the Mediterranean and the Strait, as well as between Cap Spartel and Mehdia and between Tarfaya and Laâyoune, while remaining rough to high along the rest of the coasts.
