Transavia Expands Its Connections to Morocco to Boost Tourist Appeal in Ouarzazate and Dakhla

In this context, the Moroccan National Tourism Office (ONMT) has announced the strengthening of its partnership with Transavia by increasing the number of direct flights connecting Paris-Orly Airport to Ouarzazate. An additional weekly flight has been added, bringing the total to three flights per week, operated on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays.

This increase responds to the growing demand from French customers, as France remains one of the main source markets for tourists to Morocco. The enhancement of this service is expected to facilitate access to Ouarzazate, a destination renowned for its rich cultural heritage, historic kasbahs, exceptional landscapes, and its international reputation in the film tourism sector.

The ONMT specifies that these additional flights will be available under the summer program until October 31, 2026. Discussions are also underway with Transavia to extend this connection during the winter season, aiming to maintain a steady flow of tourists year-round.

Meanwhile, Transavia has also strengthened its offering to Dakhla by providing three direct weekly flights from Paris-Orly, scheduled for Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. This initiative supports the growing popularity of this destination, increasingly favored for its beaches, water sports, and preserved natural environment.

The development of these new routes aligns with ONMT’s strategy to enhance the competitiveness of Moroccan destinations, expand the international air network, and diversify the national tourism offer. Through this policy, Morocco aims to better distribute tourist traffic among the various regions of the Kingdom and support local economic development linked to the tourism sector.
