Mohamed Mehdi Bensaid in Tétouan: Launch of the “Kan Yama CAN” Program

This visit is part of the preparations for the deployment of new national programs for youth. During this occasion, the minister announced the launch of the “Kan Yama CAN” program, an initiative that will transform youth centers into interactive spaces dedicated to:

  • broadcasting African Cup of Nations matches,

  • organizing parallel sporting activities,

  • hosting artistic and cultural workshops,

  • creating spaces for dialogue and promoting positive citizenship.

According to Mr. Bensaid, this program aims to support major sporting events hosted by Morocco, particularly the final phase of the African Cup of Nations.

Engagement with Youth: A Ministry Priority

The minister emphasized the importance of a permanent dialogue with youth, initiated in Tétouan as part of this tour. He engaged with local associative actors and young representatives from the province on:

  • the social and economic impact of sporting events,

  • the opportunities they can provide for youth and SMEs,

  • ways to raise awareness and support youth in maximizing the benefits of these events.

Mr. Bensaid stated that his department will work to address the concerns raised, whether they relate directly to youth programs or other related sectors.

A National Tour to Strengthen Youth Programs

The ministry plans a tour across all regions of the Kingdom to:
