The General Directorate of Meteorology forecasts relatively cold to cold weather for Monday, April 13, particularly in mountainous areas and high plateaus. The sky will often be cloudy over the Rif, Saïss, Middle Atlas, and the northern part of the Oriental region, with light, scattered rain expected.
Snowfall and Wind Gusts with Dust Storms
Snowfall is anticipated in the higher elevations of the Middle Atlas. Additionally, dense low clouds will affect the northwestern regions of the Southern provinces. Strong wind gusts will also blow across the Mediterranean coast, Oriental region, Middle Atlas, central coasts, and Saharan provinces, potentially accompanied by localized dust storms.
Cooling Temperatures Followed by a Slight Increase During the Day
Minimum temperatures will range from -4 to 3°C in the Atlas mountains, from 3 to 8°C in the Oriental region, phosphate plateaus, Oulmès, and the Rif, and between 8 and 15°C elsewhere. Daytime temperatures are expected to rise slightly.
Rough to Very Rough Seas Along the Coasts
The sea will be rough to strong in the Mediterranean, slightly rough to rough in the Strait, and rough to strong along the Atlantic coastline, becoming locally strong to very strong between Mehdia and Tarfaya.
