Weather Forecast in Morocco: Thunderstorms and Strong Winds Expected This Friday

According to the General Directorate of Meteorology, Friday’s weather will be characterized by unstable conditions across several regions of the Kingdom.
Thunderstorms and Isolated Rainfall
Thunderstorms are expected in the Rif and Middle Atlas regions, as well as locally in the northeastern part of the country. Other light rains, sometimes accompanied by thunderstorms, will affect the High Atlas, surrounding areas, the western Mediterranean coastline, the Saïss region, and the phosphate plateaus and Oulmès.
Relatively Strong Winds and Dust Storms
Strong gusts of wind are anticipated in the southeast, southern Oriental regions, central Atlantic coasts, and southern provinces, leading to the rise of dust and sand in some areas.
Decreasing Temperatures
Minimum temperatures will range from 3 to 8°C in the Atlas mountains, from 10 to 14°C in the Rif and northern Oriental regions, from 20 to 24°C in the central plains and Souss area, and from 24 to 32°C in the southeast and Saharan provinces. Maximum temperatures will experience a decline across most of the territory.
Sea Conditions
The sea will be slightly to moderately rough in the Mediterranean, the Strait, and along the Atlantic coastline, becoming rough to very rough in the evening between Cap Ghir and Tan-Tan.
