Skills Development and CSR: SRM Souss-Massa and the CESAR II Project Reinforce Their Partnership for Sustainable Performance

In a bid to strengthen cooperation between the Regional Multiservice Company of Souss-Massa (SRM-SM) and the CESAR II project, implemented by GIZ, a working mission was held at the headquarters of SRM-SM on June 25 and 26, 2026. This visit continues the joint actions undertaken by both partners and reflects their shared commitment to consolidating a strategic collaboration aimed at skills development, the professionalization of human resources, and the modernization of public services. It also aligns with a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) approach, placing human capital development at the core of sustainable performance and value creation for employees, users, and communities.

The sessions commenced with a presentation of the CESAR II project and its inclusive and sustainable internal training system implementation approach. Discussions with the Human Resources Department facilitated an evaluation of the current training setup, the identification of priority needs for skills development, and an exploration of the challenges linked to talent management, employability, and career progression for employees.

In this context, several workshops focused on needs analysis and operational planning brought together representatives from the Human Resources Department and the Water and Sanitation Divisions, along with various leaders and managers from SRM-SM. These collaborative sessions encouraged the sharing of experiences and best practices, the definition of capacity-building priorities, and the identification of the most suitable mechanisms to structure an internal training system that meets the company’s ambitions and stakeholder expectations.

This mission constitutes a crucial step in building a sustainable skills development system, which is an essential lever in the CSR policy of SRM-SM. By investing in training, knowledge transmission, and capacity enhancement for its employees, the company emphasizes its commitment to promoting a learning environment that is inclusive and conducive to innovation, while simultaneously reinforcing the operational excellence of its teams and the quality of services delivered to citizens.

On this occasion, SRM Souss-Massa extends its heartfelt thanks to the representatives of the CESAR II project and GIZ for their commitment, expertise, and support. It reaffirms its intent to continue this dynamic of cooperation and co-construction in support of a modern, efficient, responsible, and sustainable management of public services.
