Crédit Agricole du Maroc Strengthens Its Commitment to Data Protection and Responsible Digital Agriculture at SIAM

At the International Agricultural Show in Morocco (SIAM), held annually in Meknès, Crédit Agricole du Maroc has taken a significant step forward in its digital transformation strategy and data governance.

In conjunction with this major event, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Group, alongside the President of the National Commission for the Protection of Personal Data (CNDP), signed the “DATA-TIKA” agreement. This partnership reinforces the banking institution’s commitment to enhancing mechanisms for the protection of personal data, especially in a context marked by the rapid digitization of the agricultural sector.

Additionally, the banking group participated in a conference co-organized by the Ministry of Agriculture, Maritime Fisheries, Rural Development, and Water and Forests, along with the CNDP, themed “Data Protection: A Lever for Trust and Food Sovereignty.” This meeting shed light on the growing challenges related to data security within agricultural value chains, as well as their role in strengthening trust among stakeholders and ensuring national food sovereignty.

Crédit Agricole du Maroc’s participation in this conference was represented by Ms. Meryem Khamlichi, reflecting the group’s active involvement in strategic discussions surrounding innovation and digital regulation.

Through these initiatives, Crédit Agricole du Maroc reaffirms its position as a committed player in sustainable agriculture, placing responsible digital transformation at the heart of its priorities.
